Vacuum upholstery regularly with a soft brush attachment to lift dust from the weave.
Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth, working from the outside in. Do not rub.
Keep upholstery out of direct sunlight, which fades colour unevenly over time.
Rotate and plump cushions weekly so they wear evenly.
For leather, wipe with a dry cloth and condition sparingly once or twice a year.
Wipe timber, metal, stone and glass with a dry, lint-free cloth. Avoid solvent and abrasive cleaners.
Use coasters and felt pads under hot or sharp objects.
Lift rather than drag when moving a piece, and re-tighten any fixings from time to time.
